Shout to one of my favorite people there is.
Here's the think about inclusiveness or inclusivity: It's the only, only, only way of the future.
I wrote the thing about failure the other day, but I'm thinking that failure is in some ways real. So very many are failing every single day, time and time and time again. And the truth of the matter is that these are the ones who are in leadership positions that on the whole are failing the planet.
When we frame it as failing the planet, our odds as individual citizens of seeing - and more importantly doing - something about the truth go way up. We all operate under what's called the bystander effect when we tune into what the lies are ultimately telling us - that we as individuals are more important than we actually are. When we shift OUR focus onto what matters and what is much much closer than reading a paper or checking our online subscriptions from home would allow us to be conscious of - we are all much closer in geography and heart than we go on feeling and believing most every day.
As I said to someone recently: Your 150,00 dollar dream home means you-know-what when you're standing in waist high water in the middle of the kitchen (and this isn't even on the coast!). Odds are, your neighbor got nearly washed away by the same damn thing.
