Something to consider: Any boater, walker, vacationer is familiar with the term invasive species. These are organisms introduced to a water body that essentially are harmful to that ecosystem.
My guess is that 1% or less of us who read such language (and care to regard or not) possess the consciousness or desire to think that we, ourselves might behave in a manner that's equally or even more invasive to this small ecosystem we call Earth. Perhaps it might even be the gas-guzzling, carbon-emitting SUV or 150 we trolled to water in :)
Here's an invasive definition - An invasive species is a plant, fungus, or animal species that is not native to a specific location (an introduced species), and which has a tendency to spread to a degree believed to cause damage to the environment, human economy or human health.
We were at one point "introduced," right? winkwink
