From a distance

Remember that Bette Midler song? A classic, and an also terrible, terrible formula for dealing with what we love to call "Poverty." Poverty is a human problem and no longer is it simply a term for a small segment who are somewhat disadvantaged, but it's a true lifestyle for more who grace this Earth than who don't.

Until some "politicians" or big-idea-folks start stepping foot in West-side Chicago, parts of Harlem, Lincoln County, WI (you pretty much name it..), real change is a near certainty not to happen.
