Don't fool yourself

I would easily bet $100 that none of us will hear anything about what I just wrote in a WORLDWIDE televised "debate" tonight. Or any gathering of suits and money the rest of this year. And if we do, it won't be from one or two or three of the people being called "frontrunners." This is certainly part of the fundamental problem. You can't build a basketball team on people who only shoot 3's and half-court shots, and that is what some of this poor problem-solving has become. We all know money is at the root of the 100 or so debates this year. Weren't there like 3 or 4 at one point spaced out every other month? While I could be critical of Fox and NBC and others for clawing for and hyping these part-business opportunities to the max amount, we as people are the power to tune in or tune out. And unfortunately, we care about (or have been taught) the bullshit more than the truth in most instances. It's primarily a game that people who really have no more power than any of the rest of us are playing right above our very own heads. But it isn't that far over our heads as we think, and that is the pretty thing in my opinion.

I put worldwide in caps because it you lived in Istanbul or Zurich or St. Petersburg and caught some of this "action" (or Civil War as I've heard it - odd?), what might your perception be of the US and A? That's what I thought.
