And not to be a master of obvious, but the climate won't change until people alter their desires and/or choose and consume in a much more conscientious manner. We control the economy (supply/demand) so the manner the economy in ways disallows environmental improvement on larger levels, we are piloting that economy. Instead of fighting the power the time seems to have come to harness control of such power. It's possible.
