Doing no harm

In the counseling world or profession, it's common to operate under a "do no harm" clause.
In other words, in thinking about or justifying an action, we ask ourselves in any harm can likely be done as a result of a decision.  Why don't we all act under this inquisition more often?
So for the rest or most of us, what is the harm that can be done as product of any choice?
Since we often sadly pile up the possibilities of junk or assumptive negatives (that's an us problem), when we consider the likelihood of any negative REALLY happening, we find there to be fewer than we tend to believe in the first place. Then we can properly grow and even flourish more than before.
But we also get scared. And there isn't much justifiable reason for it. So try this self-talk one time?
It might actually work and clear off some unnecessary debris.
Merci
