I'm about 95% sure this economic act and means of making profit has had quite a lot to do with the planet getting lots warmer. Think about it. Our primary resource as humans (and what we are mostly composed of). We mine it from every single area (deplete resources in process have not doubt) and at times ship it around the world? This is not a head scratcher. And it is a true example of a place where a shutdown or "reversal" of a very poor system or structure would help us spin more "fluidly."
But anything for a buck?
