For the most part, it just stands for Durability of Mind or DOM. The brain is the most important muscle we will ever have, and it requires work and strengthening as much and probably more than any other body feature. We all have bodies. Regardless of skin color or size or weight or nationality or wealth or creed or addiction or anything to follow, each of us are residing in one given body during a lifetime. It's simple math, and it requires some life confrontation to work to make our minds out to want we want them to be.
Play a game with yourself. During the course of a day and the conscious stream in which we typically reside, decide near the end of the day cycle what 2 or 3 ideas remain inside the mind. When I golf, I actually like to do this quite a bit (walking is recommended). In the beginning, we actually retain 2 or so ideas at a time and then it may trickle to three. In some ways, 3 is the max, but when we can increase to 4 or more, our minds are working at some supreme-type levels. All it really means is that biologically we have formed our neurons between cells in a manner that they are strong enough to subsist even with all the other noise and neurological workings elsewhere.
Be well. And 'member that the best investment one will ever make is in oneself.
