We talk and hear so much about Amazon and its giant status and the super-sleek ease of getting the things we want delivered to our door, but what about allll that trash it creates? The landfills are getting juiced I have no doubt.

Humanity

BWS, stands for Best When Shared

When we live, we naturally share as this is where the highest form of joy originates. When it is difficult to share and we create barriers for ourselves that disallow sharing, we unfortunately only put limitations in the amount of joy we are able to experience. Thus, we only really live to a certain degree. I'm grateful to know this, hoping for many others to feel these levels of gratitude as well. Guess one thing I'm saying is there is quite a gap between being "alive" and fully living.

Welcome to the Human Line.

Misguided

But excusable.

I just saw a headline in the La Crosse Tribune - which used to be my hometown newspaper - that read "Weapons of mass murder are our common enemy." It can be know where this is going, but people, yes people have in ways become our own "worst" enemy. One does not need have seen Happy Gilmore to understand that while these ever-available tools of destruction are indeed a cause for alarm, guns don't essentially kill people but human beings do. We have created a mind-numbing and heart-dulling culture in very many ways that has left more of us confused than not. While there are definitely advantages to such changes, sitting in our homes and trolling through the news in fear of another imminent attack on humankind won't be a part of the solution for as long as I'm living. Perspective shifting, activating, living with more compassion and solution-focused mentalities, these are the things that will help to put out this desperate fire - one individual at a time.

Have patience, but act with diligence.

Thanks

Perfection

It seems to me that perfection is best served when it is "happened upon" rather than strived for in some direct fashion. This means that what we typically conceptualize as "failure" to be non-existent, which is a relief when we think about it. The fear of failure for some reason or another is what inhibits or cripples us in regards to action the majority of the time. But if we can't be perfect without actually failing (and doing so with great misery possibly), then how come so many of us aren't trying?

Welcome to the existential and crucially important questions about Life. The thing we all happen to wonderfully share.

One Side

Something to consider on this day - the longest one of the calendar year by sunlight standards and Earth position. Yep, the earth is constantly moving and tipping and the Sun is actually not budging an inch. This is probably a metaphor in ways for so many of us down on this tiny planet. I think that we primarily feel falsely empowered and almost too superior at times to recognize that we are mainly just pawns of the Sun. It is just throwing these planets around on a string in this enormous galaxy. It's true, and the universe is the master (of our souls if one will). Think about just how petty so so so many of the things that run through our mad minds become when we view life and being in this form of perspective. It's powerful. And yeah it maybe forces us to face the fact that we won't live forever and that our time is pretty precious, but we can surely make the most of it. After all, we are really just travelers around this giant star for an indefinite amount of orbits. maybe 10 times, maybe 76, maybe even a fraction of a single spin. It's true, and the most definite proof of living from the inside-out and defining our time here, and working to do our very best to tuning out the manufactured and mundane and anything otherwise. Yeah, there are things we need to do to live and make a living, but freedom in genuine form comes from how our minds work, how we view our existence, and how we choose to devote our attention over periods of time. Damn, good stuff in here :)

Cheers

More metaphors

Because they're so necessary, think of the word "recipes." We know what they mean in reference to cooking or work in a kitchen, but we barely stop to think of what type of recipe constitutes a good and worthy life and/or one definitely worth living. I have certain immediate thoughts but I will leave them out for now. Think about it. One thing I do know is that looking at something on a scale of 0-100%, this type of recipe includes 0% Hate.

Guess gave someone a start.. :)

Perspective & Nature

Nature is winning, or it will always win no matter what we as humans try to defeat it. Our peace as people is actually highly integrated with the peace of nature itself. It's an actual shame that so many of us with brains in our heads have either great difficulty or no awareness of this truth in day to day life. But like so many things, it's not our fault really. Just need a little attention diversion.

Anyways, consider the homes we build or the ones we live in and how they can be infiltrated with bugs or the like. There are industries built on such challenges we face as property owners/leasers. Most of us don't pause to think that nature was here first (yes, that means before you and I and even the dinosaurs), and thus should be treated with the highest possible regard. All the time. This is a portion of where karma comes from actually. And we better start acting with greater recognition very, very soon.

It's amazing the effects that just thinking the world is good can have on our health.

Talib Kweli & DJ Hi Tek - Eternalists

Change 101

Read all of the 7 dollar magazines and Psychology Todays as one wants, but here's the truth:

Change wouldn't be so difficult if we did not allow ourselves (and most of the time deliberately) to get so comfortable and patterned in our actions in the first place. This is how the majority of our minds work - and it is absolutely hyper-influenced by society and to that which we pay attention. This is the root of the tree if one will. So save your damn money and practice a little flexible thinking and be confident that as people we can really make it through most anything. Comfort is fine and it probably best comes with time and some falling down and "mistake making." This is the essence of comfort and the authentically germinated seed. On that metaphor, seeds that seek only sunlight and the singular path often have the most difficulty with growth, combating the elements, getting help from other seeds, and even making it to becoming that one magnificent flower or tree or fruit or whatever.

There's some truth for someone today.

Here's another truth: Those magazines are going to publish the same same same shit for decades. This is the thing that isn't changing. Our minds and hearts are certainly capable however :)

Peace

I'm not sure change has ever happened on any significant level without some form of durable and semi-consistent commitment.

Blast Off

Keeping things in the rules of 2 for right now. When it comes to eating:

1. Eat your colors. The more variety the better for your insides (brain, too)
2. Things that come from the ground or a tree make our bodies more vibrant or "alive with health."

Thanks

You can do it/Metaphors

Yes You Can
Yes You Can

Here's what I call the minimum of 2 rule, it means that every day we have a routine of two healthy behaviors that we commit to as a reminder of our potential to act in our own corner. Eat a banana, listen to music for 10 minutes, stare at the sky, call a friend and (yes) talk for 20. I suppose these are somewhat random and maybe not regimented, but have Two and work up from there. I was thinking of the plant analogy this morning as I have been waking and watering lately. In this process, we learn that one can only go so long watering and nurturing the leaves and foliage before seeing that the soil is what requires the most sincere attention.

2 Things

One thing I will report the papers majority won't is that the person in the FL shooting was in most probability and sadly a confused person more than anything else. Many of us are actually this way and while it seems an odd time to act with any compassion, it also could be the opportunity needed.

The other thing is that "selfies" are a devil of modern American and global society.

Thanks.

The next one is an example of a definite "true seed."

Patience

I've said it before, but it's so great. And it's also the most widely-known source of real joy.
Think about it, how happy do we get when we have something we immediately want and then it does not last? I will give you a hint - not long. Then what? This is how patience works. And patience is a developed trait and actual emotion that occurs in the brain. The human brain, yes the thing that you and me and we and she even still all share.

I am going to call something "even still" because it's the conclusion of so many arguments about what is possible and what is not possible. The truth is, anything is possible in our minds. But when patience becomes extinct (it's certainly moving in that direction), we all may be near to follow.

Hold your head up. Act accordingly. Smile and be a person. Nothing can match the human mind.

"Irregardless!"

Regardless of what my health coaching/life giving procedure ends up being, the tagline will be something similar to "Simple strategies for a much more powerful existence." Remind me.

NBT

NBT stands for Next Best Thing, and it's also a "true living strategy." It works simply, as we move into doing the next best thing, regardless of position and we naturally don't get too stuck at any given time. The mind works more like a river or stream than a rock or something linear, and so many of us struggle with this. It is the primary root of minor/major psychological disorder and behaviors that are associated. Depression, suicide, addiction, fentanyl??, we are people, and our brains largely work the same way even though so many spend a lot of time and effort to convince us otherwise.

Be well, today and every day.

Intelligence

For the most part, it just stands for Durability of Mind or DOM. The brain is the most important muscle we will ever have, and it requires work and strengthening as much and probably more than any other body feature. We all have bodies. Regardless of skin color or size or weight or nationality or wealth or creed or addiction or anything to follow, each of us are residing in one given body during a lifetime. It's simple math, and it requires some life confrontation to work to make our minds out to want we want them to be.

Play a game with yourself. During the course of a day and the conscious stream in which we typically reside, decide near the end of the day cycle what 2 or 3 ideas remain inside the mind. When I golf, I actually like to do this quite a bit (walking is recommended). In the beginning, we actually retain 2 or so ideas at a time and then it may trickle to three. In some ways, 3 is the max, but when we can increase to 4 or more, our minds are working at some supreme-type levels. All it really means is that biologically we have formed our neurons between cells in a manner that they are strong enough to subsist even with all the other noise and neurological workings elsewhere.

Be well. And 'member that the best investment one will ever make is in oneself.

Cultivation

It's necessary for us all to set some conditions for cultivation in our lives. Here's one and I'll call it the "smell it first" rule, or the SIF since been working in acronyms lately. Basically, whenever we eat or decide to put something in our mouths for consumption, take a small 5 second nose detour just to stretch out the sense of smell a little bit. On average, we are probably mainly conscious of two senses on a given day. The sense of smell is organic and a beautiful one. It filters into the sixth awareness of awe among other things. Somewhat indirectly, this is a mechanism for practicing patience, which we ALL suck quite badly at recognizing. Every 5 seconds simply turns into about one minute per day where we are working to "delay our brains," since when we look at it clearly - the lifespan is long anyways. Cultivate some patience today!

:)
