Courage in its essence happens when someone who knows the truth, can most feel the truth, and at its highest - can express the Truth equally with careful regard to whomever may be the audience. Even if one has been advised by many well-payed associates who could be offering reasons to do otherwise.
Obama had some of this. I am not sure who else really has since Kennedy or Reagan? or possibly Clinton to a degree. Kennedy and Lincoln surely stick out though.
If one does not think that through all of the red and blue and glitzy glitz and sensationalism (some understood) of these "debates" that this fundamental and magnetic quality is what the USA most needs at present moment, one isn't right.
We keep trying and trying and attaching to the old formula and a completely new elixir for the most part is definitely what is necessary. I'll be waiting, or even some day maybe participating..
Hemingway said courage was "Grace under pressure." This is a decent description.
