Amazon & a Hot Planet
As they take over the economic world, remember that there's some sort of cost mixed in with the money grabbing. Convenient shopping is cool (brick/mortar stores will survive) but our own laziness at times can certainly help to cause situations which we eventually may not desire :)

Funny
Maybe. I was thinking today about the miracle of Water today and it's undeniable truth. There is a magic property to this thing that makes up more than 3/4 of our entire body. Yep our mind has the sad power at times to take us to dark places remote from such awareness. More water equals more health equals improved well-being equals improved relationships, etc. These companies are running roughshot (not sure if word) over some of these grief and poverty stricken places on the map. Chicago, Belize, Palestine, I honestly am not even sure where it stops. The truth is it doesn't. And it won't until we as a people take control of our minds and decisions we are making. Water is numero Uno on this ever important list. Get it together America if we want to see health and good living in the next few decades as the scarcity of water epidemic has been happening all over. It's going on around under the ground while I am writing as Nestle and Walgreens, and blah blah blah are drilling into our Earth to tap "Pristine" and "Natural" and "Springlike" hydration that probably was never meant to be bought and sold. Economic fluctuation is fine, but this is part of an absolute wildfire that is actually spreading Real wildfires and will only probably increase until we can get our collective minds together in a manner that is not yet precedented. This type of work will not happen in a phone or other handheld device. Tech may be part of the process, but not what we might call the "sticky" work.
:)
Anyways, what I was going to write starting off is that the nytimes put out a piece on differences between Chicago and New York recently and how Guns are the paramount reason for crime numbers being segregated.* I will tell you my opinion/belief, and it has plenty to do with Water Proximity. These are two very different geographical places and anyone who has been to areas of Chicago much more removed from the water (Lake Mich.) knows that crime spikes and desolation and depravation runs rampant. NYC is a much different place geography wise and in terms of resource commitment.
This is important. And all I have to say for now.
:)
*Remember that people using guns will always be a much, much larger problem that guns alone.

Relationship w/time
Like yours, mine is in some ways limited. Thus, our relationship with time will always be 1b in this lifespan. This emphasizes the ability (mostly learned, i.e. watch who we spend our time around) to Flow, as different times will typically call for different actions. Tune in or tune out, the choice is ours.

Sense of Touch
One thing is true, or a Fact if one will: Touching the food when cooking makes it plenty, plenty more enjoyable. Maybe not unlike the eating as well eh hemmm. Let the kids play.
On another note, how come the one thing most of us have developed some decent degree of skill is throwing the fearful shroud over our pain? Call it UCP or Undercover Pain, and it is quite bad for society.

Backwards?
When the most important thing about being alive is maybe to be an invested learner, it is actually recommended to admit we do not know something. How many of us really want or "like" to do that? Breaking down the barriers of fear and perceived incompetence, redefining what it means to be strong.
The AOR
This stand for the Art of Remembering, and while the act of remembering was indeed never an art form until recently with the bombardment of stimulation, it has become one. Here's something to remember: "Just because one cannot do a ton, doesn't mean that one doesn't do some."
Thinking like a 5th grader
It's probably healthy in a lot of different circumstances. We like to think we're "old" and we get confused about how or age relates to our intelligence and all, but we are really just all people who are subjected to stimuli. Think of that. Regardless of where we live or the language we may hear or smoke or clean air we may breather, we mainly are going through days mostly paying attention and listening to our insides (i.e Heart) or not too much. The ones who actually pay attention are more than often the ones who fare better.
It is not unlike running good for a poker tournament and catching cards but having little idea about betting and reading people and situations and knowing how to work an increasing blind structure. It could possibly work for one tournament - and even a few days - but continue to play and lose. Lose repeatedly and most of the time one will lose more than was gained in the first place.
So pay attention this week, maybe mirror an animal or another wise person we know. Because they know something we may be looking to know as well. And it could serve us much better moving forward. It never really has to be "just another week." Truly.
On the 5th grader thing, simple equations are key this week. Like this one that clearly relates to nourishment and health - The more life that goes in = The more life that goes out. Think about it and as always, be well

Its also true that our main barrier remains to be a discomfort or lack of willingness to talk or acknowledge the presence of death. It can mean more than we tend to imagine it does. Like anything, the truth tends to have more revelation when it is brought into the air. And life and death are ar from distant cousins. They probably don't really exist separately at all :)

Present Time
While it's extraordinarily hard considering the manner in which many of us work to organize our lives, it is good to know of the correlation between future thinking and fear. Most of the things we consider into the future don't actually exist yet. We can surmise and predict and many other things, but then we get surprised or disappointed or even excited! which is cool. But fear is a future emotion and one that many of us require help in working to mediate. Though it is when if we stay in the present we actually have to face ourselves and who really wants to do that? Just live, maybe.

Wouldn't it be great this year if we heard more discussion about this from everyone who is a public figure (even John Cena!). Just a quick fire related to that post -
BSP stands for Barely Separate Productions.
DIT relates to being Deep in Thought, and it is a place important for most of us to rediscover. My concern with what we'll call the "present time" is this marvel and overconsumption of data and content and productivity. This is somewhat stifling to the continued development of what was called an "Imagination" at one point and I for one - along with others I am sure - don't want to see a world where imagination is extinct. We have to cultivate it. We have to learn to resist in fact and especially in this time period where our attention and time is a matter of the actual business of others, I do not view another skill or power of mind as necessary for us to learn, both young and what some consider old.

NABI
Not A Bad Idea is an important acronym. Most of us probably have about 5 of them on any given day. But then we tend to "label" them or give them an impossible connotation or think they could never happen. It's probably how come so many of us are silent when some of us just decide to take some action on what we feel on a deep level. This deep level is something we all have - as my pops would say "I got news for you." So could it be that what mostly separates us is just a decision? This is pretty basic, and tied up in this choice or almost instantaneous change is a mess of unnecessary (and mostly learned) emotion. Part of how come it is important for us to learn to work backwards because unlearning can even lead to be as simply important as learning itself. But the beauty probably most comes in the re-learning process. This is where the magic and optimal growth takes place.
We all can do it.
We all can do it.
Measuring
What is the lifespan of an idea? We are pretty good at measuring physical lives, but truly consider.
How long (or the duration of time) something sticks in one's mind/heart is a good indicator of how important it might be personally.

We live in something called a Culture of Convenience. As each new grocery store and movie distribution service and deli pops up like a crop in late Spring. we have some choice in whether or not to use such a simple service or continue in what possibly helped us move around and at least search a little bit for the things we like to consume. What the "older" behavior does in some ways is help our own brains develop matter and strengthen neurons mainly because it just has to work. It isn't that tough, and it does take some awareness and a desire to maintain some sense of attention, which is definitely getting away from us in ways. You can be patient, I can be patient, as can we. When things get to be really really easy, what is going to happen when things again get exceptionally hard?? This is the way of the world, and this is the conundrum I am somewhat concerned we will find ourselves in. These problems won't be solved by staring at a tiny screen and pointing and silently dragging our way to prosperity.

Realize that an entire and many times overwhelmingly complex Industry was created and still swirls around based on the minor equation I just wrote about. We are even still!! mostly in power.

Health and Living are pretty much the same word. Yet when we combine them into maybe "Healthy Living," people have all kind of strange reactions. Fear, inadequacy, shame, it's terribly sad really. But it mainly means our minds need a shift and that takes hardly any time at all :)

Been into some acronyms recently, and this is likely one of the most important. It stands for The Spirit of The Truth. In my experience, it is a pretty definite thing. Basically, when we act or participate in something that is enduringly truthful, there is a spirit or a reverberation to such an act. And it spreads, while feeling awfully good for a number of people. Call it energy or whatever one will, but it's real and something of which we need more.

Educators or human service professionals or anyone who works in a helping sector would almost surely talk about love and it's importance in the human quest for meaning, purpose, and growth. Call it The Importance of Love. When one thinks about it, where would anyone really be if such a sense of spirit did not exist? I am certainly not sure. Anyways, think about this and how we can let more in and give more and eventually find that quite secure and tight space from which so many good things emanate. And be grateful. And eat well (spices, water, greens, legumes). And move your body and blood around a couple times a week minimum. Okay, I'll be done.

DWRNI Part II
Play a game some day soon called Do We Really Need It!!? It's fun and it goes like this: think about what we buy and what we see that we may like to buy and ask ourselves if we really need it.
Trendy shopping and convenient shopping and strategical marketing IS HUGE right now. But there is a definite hidden cost for most of us along with the planet. Be wise, or maybe wiser than you have been.

Here's another - FIE and it stands for Freedom in Expression.
(This is in some ways what people get paid plenty of money to do in ways of attention grabbing)
Basically, we're more free when we express and we are stifled - this word "stifled" is a word for so very many of us - when we do not or choose not or more appropriately create so little (if any) time to express. I have yet to really meet anybody who ideally grows in this way.

It's Mutually Beneficial Aspirations. When we strive for our goals or dreams, it actually ends up being the best for us all. I guess this is what it means. We're far greater than any one. Need look no further than NBA playoffs - THUNDER - or anything else we actually give a lot of our attention to. If we chose to live accordingly for ourselves the world would be more thankful.

While love is definitely heartfelt, it probably ends up being more of choice than anything else.
Call it the Importance of Choice maybe, and it certainly requires a work ethic when really real.

One probably reaches a "new" level of modern consciousness when he/she searches for something Google will almost be known not to have. wink
Love and Courage
These are two things that are defintiely not mutually exclusive, and tied tighter than most of us recognize.
Speaking on courage, one of the best (if not best) things about it is that it can appear at any given time.
Guess it's not predictable like the weather (which isn't really) or so many other things over which we become conditioned to seek control. Maybe that's the greatest challenge of Courage in the first place.

I can't copy and paste those words so my hope is that you and maybe someone close with you does.
Think with all of the time and money and fear-mongering we do that these are the real statistics. Not to discount such tragedies and gun violence and such and such, but it is part of a system. And it is mostly the result of poor growth rather than poor seeds. So we need to be more compassionate, and definitely see things on a much more broad level. But the sources we choose and the time we spend devoting our energies towards will be paramount. Similar to BR singing the "New America," we can truly shape it if the intention and some degree of knowledge is there.

Prince, A.D.
We mourn Prince for his genius and musical excellence, but the story is so sad and repetitive.
When will these people stop dying?
And when I say people, I mean Prince and Janis and Biggie and Jimi onandonandon.
They dead. It's sad but the stories demand about 10x more attention that they receive.
Guess what? AHEAD of TIME. Because then they may be alive.
See what I'm saying? It might be obvious but it's definitely real.
All the records and police calls in Minneapolis for years. Seeking help days before he died. Nobody really knew about any of that. And there's more story of plenty not acting on solicited help. Maybe because he was what we'd call famous? "Reclusive" I know, but he could have been more real I guess. And then he gone.
Hope we can learn more from this than the previous, because the next one's comin.

Fearlessness
It's tough to be fearless by ourselves.
In almost all likelihood, it is something we primarily learn from others.
But then when we become scared of others, and move deeper inward, we get into trouble.
And the impact is actually worse on others and humanity at large than our own selves.
BUT we feel guilt and shame and inferiority and this cycle is close to decapitating.
Because I guess you have a head. And so does he and she and we, and that's cool.
And it is at least a starting point.
So maybe quit asking for so much or striving for so much and comparing so much.
And in the lame words of some masses, "Do You?"
Because that's enough.
And more so than what you believe or feel (it actually matters very little), do it for us all.

Fresh to def
I'll go on record saying if one had to choose 3 things to provide nourishment and only three things, it would probably go in this order. Let's estimate for three months or longer.
1. Water
2. Bananas
3. Nuts of some kind, preferably cashews or peanuts.
Consuming these things solely isn't a bad idea even if provided with alternatives. It would likely clean out one's system, enhance focus, provide quite sustainable energy and increase clairvoyance. But don't take it from me.
Thanks
Oops
What I meant by 1 Thing is that you and me and we can try to look to see where the food or goods we are buying are from. Try to buy some brownies from Massachusetts if on the east coast or some popcorn from Indiana if in Illinois. These types of choices matter SO MUCH and the minor things are actually major - or at least they are going to have to be eventually. The planet will thank you, even if it does cost an extra quarter or 10 cents. It's worth it and next to nothing is stopping such behavior.
Thanks :)
Thanks :)
1 Thing
I have an idea and it's definitely not bad.
It's called a Regional Economy.
Hopefully, we get to see it sometime in the near future and I see it as not unlikely.
In case you haven't looked or paid attention (probably? not), the economy has mostly become based on making things as simple and easy for you or the "consumer."
There are some problems with this.
1 Is that everything gets shipped (cross country often) right to your door, lots of pollution and a transportation mess is involved in this operation.
2 Is that you/we basically work as hard as clicking a "mouse" to get some goods you might want. There is next to zero effort connected to such means. Here's an example. I am sitting around at 6 pm on a Wednesday night and decide "Hey, I would love to have some m&m's." Now this is highly basic, but now decisions such as walking two blocks or riding a bike through some fresh air! to the local grocer have turned into a casual dilemma of perhaps ordering a ton of m&m's from Mars direct so we can have plenty of m&m's for the next time we may have a chocolate and candy craving. so a ton of m&m's get loaded on a dock in Atlanta and get brought to one's door in Seattle or Sante Fe or Bismarck or who even cares. There are tone of byproducts to such decisions that my hope is I do not have to underline. Anyways, this happens with diapers and toilet paper and cosmetics and bottled water and EVERYTHING today - thanks Amazon!! Now, it is not all bad as it is providing jobs and simplifying things to a degree for consumers but as things become simpler and simpler, be careful. The planet is probably exhibit 1.0 as to how these acts we participate in have an unintentional effect (yes, I am not blaming you - or anyone). But we have to do better. We just do. Me and you and you and you. So stop becoming so disconnected and attempt to refocus if necessary. I guarantee it can be done. We're never really lost but we have passed a frightening tipping point and it will be our burden to carry going forward, perhaps sooner before later.
There are more unfortunate byproducts of this trending economy, which is like a perilously floundering fish to use a metaphor, but I am done writing for now. Let's shape it and make it better? And think twice or maybe even three times about what we do? It's possible, but it might take some additional effort or an extra 5 minutes. Here we go.

Views (Ha)
When we look at events - on the daily - as a series of prompts or even "tests" for further knowledge and awareness, we probably find oursleves with a healthier life outlook, fewer negative emotions (impatience!), and a higher probability for successful and desirable outcomes.

Proper consumption is something we all need help with. By this I mainly mean to that which we devote our attention day in and day out.
Take the news. It is the single biggest joke I have ever seen. And it actually is getting NO BETTER. Isn't this interesting? That people (aka human beings case we forgot) are sitting in high buildings deciding (yes, making decisions) about what types of stories to appeal to the masses (more of them undereducated than not). This happens Monday through Friday and also Saturdays and Sundays every single day of the year. It's called the vicious cycle or perpetual problem to a degree. Since as I had mentioned some post ago that "awareness is the answer," think of how many of us struggle with being aware and guiding themselves towards the truth when this is the same monotonous garbage that is being peddled every single day. And it has shown no signs of slowing, rather it has sped up with the multiple platforms of "event" consumption we currenlty find ourselves with. Yet we wonder how come we find ourselves facing some deeply troubling evolutionary issues. Hmmmmmm
I mean, I am just painting a portrait. But it has quite a lot of sadness in it. And plenty of dollar signs. And the majority of them are dirty or a branch or the great human tree where we all reside.
Choose wisely, and we can always choose better - the main step to actually being better.

PARADOX
The wounds are often what make us more interesting and appealing to one another yet the majority of us maintain (sometimes excessive) fear of such wounds.
Rotations
When it comes to our health, it's probably not real important how we move but rather that we move.

Word trees
Words are fun. They are in fact very fun. As are trees. Enjoyable to look at and quite tantalizing for their slow growth and certain life-giving properties.
Here are two words: Health and Humanity. They are unique in that they don't quite exist separately.
See where I'm going with this? Maybe there's an argument that these words are or can be solitary, BUT they just are not nearly as good as when viewed, heard, or even written together.
This is how the brain works, and it is the furthest thing from "rocket science" - which in case you have not given any thought to is a supposed science that almost NOBODY knows anything about. Think about that too. It's a mischievously separating term. And further, the rocket ship creating industry is mostly a failed one anyways. Small tangent, but mainly the brain thinks in connections. It forms neurons, it shoots out different chemicals (that looks like a water sprayer actually) in your head. The neurons get stronger or strengthened depending on their use and blah blah blah.
Anyways, simply put I am making a minor case for the beauty of Humanity and Health as two great words that we all basically should care a little bit about. These are important things to consider in the distracted abyss of 2016 and screenphones (which are close to dead and commoditized too).
Eventually, we'll mostly have each other and face such loyal truths. The time will come and be fun.
Alright, take care.

The degree to which we get to experience the actual truth probably depends most on our desire (and courage) to know what it means to experience such truth. See below.

Probable success
Coming to the realization that this life is actually our very own to live - yes it can even take 'til one is 70 - is the starting point of a whole lot of good things.

I'll give 2 dollars to one of the couple people looking at this if this acronym can be guessed.

In this lifetime, the behavior we'll have the greatest chance to change will be our very own.

Rapid Happiness
Have you hugged a tree lately? I almost guarantee you that the act shoots some kind of norepinephrine or dopamine off in your brain (these are 2 "feel good" chemicals we each have). Even if you or those around you may declare and believe strongly otherwise. Try it today, or if not today at some point this week. And don't be embarrassed either dammit.
Paralleled pain?
I am not a yogi (I don't think), but it's probably difficult to experience an elevated sense of joy or gratitude without some type of comparable pain or suffering.
